Pamukkale
Overview
Pamukkale, in western Turkey, is famed for its striking white travertine terraces shaped by mineral-rich thermal waters. Adjacent to it is Hierapolis, an ancient Roman spa city founded around 190 B.C., featuring notable ruins like a well-preserved theater and a 2-kilometer necropolis. The Antique Pool, with its submerged Roman columns from an ancient earthquake, offers a unique mix of history and relaxation.
