Overview
Bursa, nestled in northwest Turkey at the foothills of the 2,500-meter-high Mount Uludağ near the Sea of Marmara, is a city rich in history and natural beauty. Known as “Yeşil Bursa” (Green Bursa) for its lush parks and greenery, it also boasts a striking mountain backdrop. The city is famous for its early Ottoman architecture, including the 14th-century Ulu Cami (Great Mosque), distinguished by its Seljuk-inspired arches and 20 domes.
